Question 1
selling on ebay (urgent) ??????... i sold something on Ebay i shipped it plain 2nd class
the buyer claims that he didn't receive it
why should i believe him that he didn't receive it
maybe is he just trying to make money
Answers
1) Do you have proof you posted it? - Max Headroom
2) Maybe he is, you're right. Unfortunately, in these kind of cases, the buyer is usually the one who wins if they file a dispute.
That's why it's ALWAYS a good idea to pay the little bit of extra money for signature confirmation when you ship something to an eBay buyer. - rtfm
3) That is why you should always get proof of postage to cover your own back in cases like these. If you havent contacted the buyer back then you can say you have proof of postage to see if they are bluffing??? - Jodie
4) Unless you can prove you posted the item, such as proof of posting or special delivery, then if the buyer made a claim against you via the e-bay procedure, then ebay WILL find in the buyers favour. - GAVIN E
5) If you have recieved a payment from him, you are required to make proof that you posted it.
Otherwise, you may get legal proceedings against you if the item costed a lot.
It could also be because there was a postal strike. - Munch
6) You wont have a legal suit filed against you. If you lose the EBAY dispute the buyer might open, the worst that will happen is that you will have to refund the buyer his item cost and shipping. These things happen frequently. I have had to do that because the buyer posted negative feedback for no reason, and now that buyers have all the rights, i had to refund the cost but never got the item back. EBAY suggested I call the buyer directly and that was worse. So I lost my item and the money for it, but the buyer did reverse the negative feedback and that was more important to me since it has always been 100 per cent. - jennifer

Question 4
when did lawyers begin to advertise?... what year
Answers
1) I'm not exactly sure i'm thinking maybe the 1990s because there was starting to be a lawyer boom and lawyers don't need to advertise unless there are too many of them. - Near
2) You know I think it was in the mid 1980's. But I could be wrong. You see ads everywhere nowadays. It's funny though, my mom watches spanish tv and then these lawyers advertise on there speaking spanish to get people to hire them. It's funny the way they try to speak spanish and you can't understand them. But hey to each his own. If you can get clients like that than go for it. - Adamaris

Question 5
i want to know how to open my own website?...
Answers
1) http://www.ds32.com/guide/ - raysor
2) Hello! First you need to think of an address for your site. I like going to godaddy.com to check whats available and what isn't. Once you find an addy you like, then you need to purchase the domain. Once you have your domain purchased, you need to find a web host. A web host "stores all the pages of your website and makes them available to computers connected to the Internet". Another thing to think about is web design. What do you want your page to look like? Once you get those two things its just a matter of setting up and getting people to visit your site. Much luck to you!
